Once you have completed the steps to queue for a game, it's simply a matter of waiting for other players to get added into the same game queue until there are players enough to start a game. When playing as a group, the game will start as soon as the other members of the group enter the group code and complete their selections.
As other players join or leave the game queue, the transcript on the right will be updated to show how many players are queued with you.
If at any time you decide you don't want to wait for other players to join the game queue, simply click the button
and you will be removed from the queue. You can then click the
button to enter a new queue when you are ready.
A game starts by welcoming all the players and then randomly determining the order in which the players will take their turns. The players' names and chip colors are shown above the transcript. The player whose turn it is will be have a colored arrow on their chip pointing at their name.
The instructions box below the game board will guide players whenever it is their turn.
A player's turn starts with them rolling the dice. When it's a player's turn the button will change from gray to purple
and a timer will start. The player has 15 seconds to click the button.
If the player doesn't click the button before the timer runs out then they lose their turn. After the player clicks the button, the red, white and black dice will display
the results of the roll. One of the player's chips will be placed on the board on the square that matches the red and white dice numbers.
If another player's chip is already on that square then it will be replaced. Of course if the player whose turn it is already has a chip on that square then nothing happens.
The black die gives the player a chance for a bonus move. The black die has three blank sides and three sides each with a different letter.
If the black die is then the player doesn't get a bonus move and play continues on to the next player.
If the player rolls the then the player gets to add one of their chips to any empty square on the board unless there are no empty squares left.
When the player rolls this bonus move the timer will start again and the player will have 20 seconds to decide where to add a chip.
To add a chip, the player simply clicks on any empty square on the board.
A small chip of that player's color will display in the square with a plus sign in the middle and the button will appear next to the instructions box.
The player can choose a different empty square before clicking the button but if they don't click the button before the timer runs out they lose that bonus move and don't get to add an extra chip.
Once the player clicks the
button, their chip is added.
If the player rolls the then the player gets to remove another player's chip from the board.
Again, when the player rolls this bonus move the timer will start with 20 seconds to decide which chip to remove.
To remove another player's chip, the player starts by clicking on it. A large X will be shown on the chip and the button will appear next
to the instructions box. The player can choose a different chip to remove before clicking the button but if they don't click the button before the timer runs out they lose that bonus move and
don't get to remove another player's chip.
Once the player clicks the
button the other player's chip will flip off the game board.
Finally, if the player rolls the then the player gets to swap one of their chips on the board with another player's chip.
The timer will once again start and the player will have 20 seconds to decide which chips to swap.
To swap chips, the player clicks on one of their own chips and on one of another player's chips. A swapping symbol will be displayed on each chip and
the button will appear next to the instructions box. The player can choose different chips to swap
before clicking the button but if they don't click the button before the timer runs out they lose that bonus move and one of their chips will be removed from the board!
Once the player clicks the
button the chips will swap places on the board.
Play continues until a players has the required number of chips in a winning sequence. At that point the game will announce the winner and show their winning sequence of chips lit up with stars.
Players can then click the button to queue for a new game.
If at any time during a game a player decides they want to quit the game, they can click the button.
They will be prompted if they really want to leave the game or continue playing.
Note that if a player clicks the the button during their turn, the timer will continue to run while the player is deciding whether or not
to leave or continue playing. Closing your browser tab or refreshing the browser tab where a game is currently in progress will also cause you to immediately quit the game. If only one player is
left in a game due to all other players quitting, that player will automatically win the game.
